Canelo sniffed the air and could smell the exotic odor of meat he hadn’t tasted in his home. When he bent the corner in his living room, he saw the source of the odor.

“We have to talk.” Cage said standing up from the sofa.

“Hadn’t expected this.”

“Why?”

“Most people come to see Row. You know that and I know it too. I’m usually an afterthought.”

Cage sat down again. “For what I’m about to say, I don’t think he will help me.”

“I'm listening.”

He looked at him seriously. “I need you to find Onion.”

“Before we talk about why, what's going on with you and Flow?”

He frowned. “He hasn't told you?”

“I don't know anything. I do know we had our meeting not too long ago with all of the packs. And they bowed down to him. Based on that it’s just a matter of time before he takes complete control.”

“You don’t seem happy. Wasn’t that the plan when y'all took me to that library?”

“I’m not sure that he’s ready. Neither is Shannon.”

“I believe you want to say something else but you’re choosing to beat around the bush. I wish you wouldn’t waste my time.” Cage paused. “What do you want to know about Flow? Because truthfully, I haven't said two words to him since he tried to kill me. And I'm not exaggerating.”

“No, I believe you. The smell Vampires are giving off is suddenly becoming, well, erotic.”

Cage wouldn’t dare tell him about how they would crave Vamp flesh in the future.

But did he know already?

“Can Flow be trusted?” Canelo asked.

“What I will say is this, when we were growing up, he had a weird habit. Sniffing seats belonging to women and--.”

“We all did that.” He chuckled once.

“Killing animals too? Because that was also his thing.”

“Not killing animals for sport. But even that is not too far from a Wolf’s nature.”

“Well other than that, I believe Flow has a habit. My team caught him going to casinos and spending lots of money when I had him followed. That was the reason I put his cash in the trust. I would’ve given Bloom and Tatum access to their funds anyway, but I didn’t want Flow to feel isolated.”

“So, Flow has a gambling habit?”

“Yeah, and again, I wanted to give them their money. But I didn’t want them to kill themselves while using it. That’s when I learned what I learned.”

Canelo nodded. “Thanks. Gives me a direction to go.”

“No problem.” He paused. “Now I--.”

“You want to know where Onion is right? Because we were able to find you so easily years ago. You figure we could do the same with Onion.”

“Yeah.”

“Well Arabia was a part of that. Why didn’t you ask her to help you find him?”

“She won’t.”

“Maybe she’s trying to protect you.”

“I don’t need her to protect me. I need her to hand this nigga over.”

“The thing is, I gave Row my word that I wouldn't get involved. To try to prevent the Wolves and Vamps from clashing.”

Cage was annoyed. “Why would you give him the word on something like that? I thought we were supposed to be looking out for one another.
