Grilled Gruyere Sauerkraut Sandwich
Cooking Time: 10 Minutes/Serves: 1 Serving
This recipe is more than just a sandwich, it is rich in high powered vitamins and minerals that are highly beneficial for inflammation.
Ingredients
⅓ cup of sauerkraut, drained
1 ounce of Gruyere cheese
1 ½ teaspoons of light margarine
2 slices of whole wheat bread
Directions
1. Heat a frying pan over a medium temperature.
2. Butter one side of the bread with the margarine and place it in the frying pan margarine side down.
3. Top the bread with the cheese and the sauerkraut.
4. Butter one side of the other slice of bread with the margarine.
5. Top the sandwich with the other slice of bread margarine side down.
6. Cook the sandwich on both sides until it turns golden brown.
7. Once cooked, remove from the frying pan, slice into two and eat.
