Crumb-Coated Spätzle

This old time German spätzle will enhance the taste of all types of roasts.

Serves:6

Time: 5 mins.

Ingredients:

flour (2 cups, all purpose)

salt (1 tsp)

eggs (2, lightly, beaten)

milk (3/4 cup, 2%)

breadcrumbs (1/2 cup, dried)

butter (1/2 cup, melted)

Directions:

1. Beat eggs and milk until smooth and combine salt and flour into it.

2. Boil the water in a large pan. Then press dough through a colander with a rubber spatula into boiling water. Stir gently and cook for 4 minutes till it floats and is tender.

3. Mix butter and breadcrumbs and add the mixture onto spätzle and it is ready to serve.
