I awake to see a rosy, peachy sky that is brighter where the sun sits on the horizon.

I am without the energy to lift myself from the outstretched, fury, white arm, where I comfortably rest my head, until I see crimson globules of pregnant fruit, not so high in the tree above.

I stagger to my feet, and smell their sweetness, just above my head. Many have fallen, and lay around the bushes. Immediately I pick two with both hands, and greedily take a big, juicy mouthful.

Sunrays break through the bodies of green in the forest.

I pick up a piece of fruit from the floor, and see it has a bite taken out of it.

“She came this way!” I say to myself, remembering the girl, and the mission I was on to find her, and save her from the beasts that tracked her.
