One Of The Beautiful Ones
When things change for the popular students, they often change for the worse. In this case, the effects were tremendous and resulted in more violence and ill intentions. It truly worries me how cruel students can be to each other in just a mere instant.

I used to be one of them — one of the beautiful ones. I was so happy then. I liked going to school with all my beautiful friends. We’d talk about our weekend parties and our boyfriends, without caring about anything else. We didn’t need top grades or any athletic talent. No, our talent was our beauty, and everybody at school wanted it.
I used to have it all, the legs, the hair, the face. But not just the perfect looks, I had the clothes and hair to match, and the handsome boyfriend too. He was my world, and I thought I was his. We’d hold hands all day long and kiss in the hallways. Of course, everybody wanted to trade places with us.
Everything was easy then. Teachers adored me because they couldn’t get mad at a perfect smile like mine. Every girl sighed as I walked past wishing she could be me. They turned their heads wherever I went and dreamed of walking in my shoes. I couldn’t go wrong.
The boys all wanted me, and I always heard them whistle their lewd remarks as I passed. They dreamed of doing the things only my boyfriend could do with me. He was such a perfect boyfriend that every other girl in the school wanted him too. I used to think that they were all way below his league, so I didn’t have anything to worry about. But I was totally wrong. He was stolen away from me from right under my nose.
I used to have a best friend too. Her name was Sarah Nakamura. What she did to me was completely unforgivable, which was why I later did what I did.
First, let me explain what she did, then I’ll tell you what I did to her. You’ll figure out why I did it, I’m sure. I’ll keep it all simple because that’s the only way I know how. I’m no poet, and I was barely passing English class. Nothing mattered in the end because after what I did, I wasn’t allowed back at school. In fact, I was banned from every school in the country and I don’t blame them for not letting me go back. Things got a little . crazy. I just couldn’t stop myself.
It all started when Sarah Nakamura, my best friend in the whole world, started looking at my boyfriend. I noticed her, at first in math class, with that little smile of hers on her oh-so-beautiful lips, staring at him.
My boyfriend, Ian Yamada, always sat next to me in every class, of course, and for the longest time Sarah usually sat on my other side. But those days were weird because Sarah kept changing where she sat. She was moving around, here and there, and it had me worried.
