Summary

Semen was identified on the vaginal washing (B108) from E. Tchoudakova.

Vaginal and uterine specimens (B106, B108, B118) were forwarded to W. Murray for DNA analysis.

No semen was detected on the oral swab (B105) or the rectal swab (B107) from E. Tchoudakova.

There was no vomit-like staining apparent on the bedding from the scene, including: B27 sleeping bag; B29 top sheet of bed; B30 comforter; B32 fitted bedsheet; and B35 two pillow cases. Indications of blood were present on each of the above items. A tooth was present in the bag containing B32, the fitted bedsheet.

Clothing from Gilbert Ho was examined for the presence/absence of blood. Indications of blood, with no visible staining, were present at the following locations of the grey denim bomber jacket (B145): (a) Exterior Surface: two inside layers of fabric of the left pocket ii. two inside layers of fabric of the right pocket and the outer- most layer of fabric of the right pocket.

Interior Surface: lining of right sleeve lining of back right side (3 panels), lining of back left side (1 panel).

There were no indications of blood on the other items of clothing from Mr. Ho, including a shirt (B141), a sweater (B142), black jeans (B143) and running shoes (B144).

The above noted areas of the bomber jacket were submitted, along with appropriate negative controls, to W. Murray for DNA analysis.

The ligatures, B60 from right leg, B61 from left leg, B62 from around neck, and B63 from around the body, were each found to have indications of blood present on them. There was no impact spatter staining apparent on any of the ligatures.

A swab of the left breast (B111) of Tchoudakova was submitted to W. Murray for DNA analysis.

A ceramic mug (B5) was swabbed around the base, where blood was present, and on the inside of the top rim. These swabs were submitted to W. Murray for DNA analysis.

No detailed bloodstain pattern interpretation has been done at this time.
