In 2009, in a lawsuit filed against the Metroland weekly, Keith and company would claim, bizarrely, that the suicide note was a fake.

Years later, Keith recruited the filmmaker Mark Vicente to make a documentary debunking certain myths about Vanguard. One of these alleged “myths” concerned Kristin Snyder. Keith believed, and claimed he had evidence to show, that Snyder faked her own suicide because she was involved with a drug-smuggling operation gone awry and has been alive and well in British Columbia this whole time. The film was never made.
