Chapter 18

“Look at you, your stamina is improving,” Alina said with a proud smirk.

She had just made it to the top of the hill where David stood. He was winded, but he felt good. Now that Alina mentioned it, he couldn’t help but notice that she’s right. When they first started jogging, he could barely make it past the first hill on their usual route, and now he was tackling more challenging trails with more ease.

“Yeah, you’re gonna have to start working out harder if you don’t want me to catch up with you. Plus, we talked about this before. In the apocalypse, it’s every man for himself.”

“You wouldn’t leave me behind, I know it,” she said as she walked all the way up to him so that their chests were touching.

David took a step back and sarcastically said.

“You’re in my safe zone. You’re making me uncomfortable.”

In response, she got even closer to him, penetrating him with a psychotic gaze. He put his hands on her hips, and she hung her arms around his neck. They kissed, which caused Alina’s cap to slide up her head. She set it back and said.

“You wouldn’t leave me behind.”

“No. I wouldn’t.”

They kissed once more, and he slid his hand down from her hips to her tight ass. Alina pulled back slightly and whispered ‘behave’ under her breath. He let her go, and she readjusted her cap and took a step back before saying.

“So, what was it that you wanted to show me?”

“This way,” he jutted his head towards a random part of the forest.

Alina seemed confused about where he’s taking her, and he knew exactly why. He stopped in front of the rows of branches and said.

“Look at that. The end of the road. If only there was a- oh would you look at that?” he grabbed one of the branches and pulled it back, revealing a tiny, hidden trail. “A secret passageway.”

“Are you sure it’s safe to go through?” Alina asked with a sour face.

“Yeah, trust me. What’s the worst that could happen?”

“You could sexually assault me.”

“Well, if that happens, then you can thank me,” he winked.

Alina rolled her eyes and ducked under the other branches, and stepped into the darker portion of the woods. David followed behind, allowing the branch he was holding to swing back behind him with a rustle. The trail here swerved in various random directions and steadily led up the gradient, but was also much narrower, which forced David and Alina to walk one in front of the other, rather than side by side.

David didn’t mind walking behind Alina, especially when she had to get her glutes working to climb the gradient. The sight of her ass gyrating in front of him, tightly stuck against the shorts Alina wore aroused him. He wanted to spin her towards him, pin her against a tree, and have loud, wild sex with her right there, no caring if anyone would hear.

It will have to wait.
