Chapter Nine

Natalie followed Clayton down another hall as screams could be heard. She literally jumped when she heard them, and Clayton looked at her. “You know these things aren’t even human, right? They cant feel pain the way we do.” He said nonchalantly, and she swallowed hard. He really was psycho. He opened one of the numerous doors and she gasped at the sight. There was a woman and a man strapped to the table. They were both naked. The woman was screaming. Her mouth full of blood. It looked as though someone manually extracted her fangs. She was a vampire.

“Jesus.” Natalie backed up as Clayton looked at her.

“I know, they are hideous creatures aren’t they.” He shook his head as he walked up to the vampire girl who stopped screaming as he touched her head. “Celeste here is a bit of a screamer, but she does well for a good pet.” He said as Natalie looked over at the man on the table. He was passed out.

“What are you doing to them?” Natalie’s voice shook as he looked at her.

“I suppose cleansing them. You see if you remove the things that make them monstrous then you can have a relatively normal person.” He said with a soft smile. “It takes some time though; old habits are hard to break. Isn’t that right Celeste?” He smiled at the vampire who spit blood at him and it landed on his face.

“Fuck you!” Celeste spit at him as he backed up and grabbed a towel as he wiped his face.

“Sometimes all you have to do is remind them who is boss.” He continued as he walked over to the guy who wasn’t moving. Natalie looked at the female vampire and then she turned quickly.

“You know I should probably go.” Natalie said quickly as Clayton looked at her.

“Already? But I didn’t even get to show you the best part.” He smiled as he took her hand and began to lead her out of the room. She quickly looked at the vampire chick and she mouthed to her that she was sending help and then she left the room.

“It’s getting late you know.” Natalie said as Clayton began to lead her down the hall.

“Ok soon enough.” He said and then he opened another door. Natalie eyes got wide as they stepped inside because Sam was there, chained to the wall looking beat and broken. Sam looked up at her with wide eyes and Natalie couldn’t hide the gasp that left her mouth. “Am I witnessing a reunion?” Clayton said as he looked at her. “You lying bitch!” He yelled at Natalie as he backhanded her, and she stumbled backwards.

Natalie went to grab her hidden knife in the back of her skirt, but Clayton swung his arm and without even touching her, she flew against the opposite wall as Sam yelled out. Natalie’s head hit the wall and she immediately got knocked out as her body fell limp onto the ground. “Your sister thinks she is smart but I’m smarter.
