Twenty -One

Stepping inside the master bedroom, Slick’s attention was immediately drawn to the two naked bodies sprawled out on his bed. The painful sight looming inside crushed Slick, making him stop in his tracks.

Ug tip-toed towards the bed with his desert eagle held down by his leg. Suddenly the scent of sex in the air invaded Slick’s nostrils, inflaming his appetite for destruction. Slick’s heart dropped to the pit of his stomach while witnessing the ultimate disrespect and betrayal from his wife and his so called buddy. Slick was amazed at how Mozart and Anya were fucking like two porn stars in his bed – his home that he threw bricks at the penitentiary to pay for. He got lost in his thoughts about the options he had.

He had a chance to walk away from all the pain, heartache, and drama and not put himself at risk.

Fuck that, he thought, boiling with rage. Slick rushed to the bed and cocked his weapon. Ug raised his gun and rushed to the bed to back Slick’s play.

When Mozart and Anya heard the sounds of automatic weapons cocking, all their sexual movements came to an abrupt halt, looking over his shoulder; the nervous Mozart spotted Slick and the guy he couldn’t kill earlier in the day aiming guns at him.

“Whoa! Whoa! Whoa big boy! It ain’t what chu’ thinking!” Mozart yelled, rolling quickly to put Anya in their sights, and use her as a human shield.

Without hesitation, Anya quickly turned her head. Her eyes ballooned in fear and surprise when she saw her husband standing next to the guy she thought had set him up.

What the hell’s going on? She thought, attempting to cover up her nakedness.

“Bitch, don’t move!” Slick warned. “It’s funny Mozart how you seem to know what I’m thinking these days?” He gripped the gun tighter while staring at Anya’s naked frame. The more he stared at her, the more he felt like she stabbed him straight through his heart.

“Baby please…I can explai –“she cried in fear.

“Bitch, stay in a slut’s place. I’ll get to you later.” Slick raged, cutting her off.

“Here I am laying up damn near dead because of this bitch nigga and you got the nerve to be in here fucking him in my bed?” He had caught them in the act – now he planned on unleashing all his fury. He squeezed his eyes shut knowing death was the only answer for their betrayal.

In the seconds the heated exchange took place between Slick and Anya, Mozart had managed to slip his hand underneath the pillow to grab his gun.

“Slim…big guy, she’s the broad I was telling you about!” Ug blurted. “She’s the one who tried to get my noodles pushed back!” Ug’s eyes looked like they were thirsty for revenge.

“Yeah, because I thought you had set up Slick to go to jail because he fucked your girlfriend!” Anya snapped, her eyes were slits of anger with tears streaming down her high cheek bones.

“What!” Slick and Ug bellowed at the same damn time, stunned by Anya’s reply.
