17 – Bisquick™ Fried Fish
Bisquick™ offers you a simple but tasty alteration to a batter-fried fish recipe. You can have it ready to serve in 20 minutes or less. If you have a fishing enthusiast in the family, it’s a great way to serve fresh fish – or use it with your favorite white fish.
Makes 4 Servings
• 1/3 cup of corn meal
• 1 cup of Bisquick™ mix
• 1 tsp. of salt, kosher
• 1/4 tsp. of pepper, ground, black
• 2 pounds of fish fillets
• 6 oz. of beer
• To fry: oil, canola
Instructions:
1. Heat the oil to 375F.
2. Combine the dry ingredients together. Add the beer to give the mixture a sticky consistency so it can be dipped in.
3. Salt the fish. Dip them in the batter.
4. Deep fry in oil till fish are lightly browned. 5. Lay on plate lined with paper towels to drain the grease.
