Never Enough

The sky was still pitch black when Olivia opened her eyes, but the white and yellow lights from the bright skyline broke through the windows, casting away the shadows and surrounding Isabela’s beautiful naked body with a soft glow.

She should be tired. Her eyes should have been heavy with sleep and her body exhausted after the hours of uninterrupted physical activity, but as soon as her brain registered Isabela’s closeness, all her senses sharpened.

Her eyes moved from the dark blue sheets resting against Isabela’s hips, up to her exposed back. She traced it with her eyes, committing to memory every crevice, every sharp edge of her muscles. Her gaze paused at the minuscule freckle right below Isabela’s left shoulder which she’d never seen before.

Soon she found her hands tracing the same paths over the soft skin because looking wasn’t enough to satiate her craving for Isabela. Olivia rested on her side, caressing Isabela’s back over and over again, sleep long forgotten in favor of touching her. It was nice to see Isabela like that, without worry lines marking her eyes or tension on her shoulders.

The little freckle teased Olivia, prodded her without meaning to. She wasn’t sure why, but she couldn’t stop staring at it. Maybe it was because she’d discovered something new about Isabela. Something intimate that few people would be lucky enough to see. She wondered if the women in Isabela’s past had bothered to kiss that delicious back to show her how much they wanted her. If they found that freckle and let their tongues wander close to it.

As soon as that thought crossed her mind, the unstoppable need to lean down and do exactly that overwhelmed Olivia. She stole another glance at Isabela, focusing on the steady rise and fall of her shoulders as she remained peaceful and relaxed. Shifting closer, she moved Isabela’s hair out of the way and raised herself on her elbows to leave a peck first on Isabela’s cheek, then her jaw, then the base of her neck, and finally she pressed her entire body against Isabela’s back and planted the softest of kisses on that freckle.

Isabela let out a low humming sound and stirred in her sleep, making Olivia stop her ministrations to check if she’d woken up the other woman. After a few seconds the movement stopped and Isabela settled again. Olivia resumed her kissing, this time tracing one of Isabela’s tattoos, the small flower on the right side of her back, with her lips. She didn’t dare to let her tongue poke out to taste the tanned skin, not while Isabela was asleep, but she could guess there would be a hint of salty sweat if she did.

Olivia moved up and down Isabela’s body, trailing kisses. Her lips traveled down all the way to Isabela’s lower back until the thin sheet clinging to Isabela’s hips interrupted her path. Then she moved back up along her spine until she reached the edge of Isabela’s neck. Olivia wondered if Isabela
