These notes began as a loose record of my last days on this planet. Very quickly, they evolved into a means of supplementing my preparations for the journey.

Never before have I written about my mother’s health, my father’s suicide, or my friend’s beating by my hands. Nor will I ever write about these subjects again; nor will I ever write about anything, period, once these notes come to a close.

If you’ve read this far, I assume you won’t take my story seriously. If that’s the case, I want to make it clear I do not seek to aestheticize a human problem that I know about all too well—self-destruction. However, without it, the door to Almuric will never reveal itself; so I leave this narrative open-ended. Draw your own conclusions.

And if you, too, hunger for rebirth, know that I will not reveal how I found H’s grimoire. Know that I will not disclose where or how I plan to activate the Great Secret, with minor alterations to the original formula. I will only divulge what I have said in these pages.

Good luck, and believe in yourself. You are capable.

Whatever you do with your life, don’t let it be uneventful.
