Holy shit, what was that? My core ached, the heat and wetness coming from between my legs made me squirm. I smiled to myself and snuggled down into the bed.

Lyla came up beside me and sat down. “Is everything ok?”

“Yeah, why?”

“I heard noises, I thought you were crying.”

“No, I’m fine. I went into the room they were meeting in. You know, just to have a look around. I thought they’d all left, but Ryder was still there. We had a couple shots and then, as usual, he put me back to bed.”

Lyla’s eyebrows raised and she coyly asked, “Oh? And?”

“And what?” I tried to look innocent.

“And the noises.”

“Nothing,” I smirked.

“Ok Jazz, spill,” she giggled. “I saw that look.” She curled up in the bed with me, waiting for me to tell her. “And don’t leave out the good parts.”

“Honestly, I don’t know. Ryder has his habit of first yelling at me then kissing me.” I looked at her and raised my eyebrows. “He’s fucking hot,” I snorted and buried my face in the blanket.

“What the fuck Jazz? I thought you had a ‘thing’,” she put her fingers up in air quotes, “With O.”

“I know, I know,” I whined. They’re all so damned hot and they keep kissing me.”

“Well you can’t have all of them. I’d be careful… You don’t want to start something and cause issues.”

“I know, fuck, I know.” My eyes gleamed at her, “I wish I didn’t have to choose just one. It’s the freakin apocalypse, nothing is the same anymore.” I winked at her, not actually serious but seriously confused at who I would end up with.

Ryder made my whole body vibrate inside, that gruff exterior, oozing testosterone set my lady parts on fire every time he came near me. Then there was Joker, his fun loving and cheerful nature made me smile, and his kisses weren’t bad either. Beast would die protecting me and handles me so gently, almost as though I am some kind of porcelain doll. And then there is O… I licked my lips recalling the waves of pleasure he sent through my body… Oh, yeah. I sighed and slid down into the bed further thinking about all four of them. How could I choose just one? Should I even let anything happen with these guys?

All of a sudden, dark doubts rushed into me, dragging me practically screaming from my momentary bliss. This can’t happen, the panic rose in my mind. They just want to use me. They’d just abandon me or treat me like Tessa when they were done with me. A scowl crossed my face. Maybe I’ll even take off… strike out on my own. So much ran through my mind. I’d been nothing but confused and off balance since they arrived. Lyla settled in with me, whispering that I was, after all, the princess. She always calmed the chaos in my mind. I pulled the blankets up and nuzzled down into the soft pillows and we both drifted off to sleep.
