I’m sitting in the chair as Hex cleans my arm, then places the stencil of the tattoo I picked on my outer left bicep. It’s going to look fucking amazing when it’s done, an outline of a wolf and girl, both howling at the sky. It’s the perfect first tattoo, representing the two parts of me.

“Okay, you are positive you want this?” he asks, as he picks the gun up from the table.

“Positive.” I’ve never wanted something more in my life, other than freedom from my pack. I know Wylla and the guys said I would always have someone, but I’m afraid. I’ve only just met them. What happens if their feelings for me change, and I’m left all alone after leaving the only pack I’ve ever known? My real fear is that something far worse could happen, and my pack retaliates, causing the people I’ve come to care about to be hurt. I couldn’t live with myself if that happened. Fuck! I have so much to think about and figure out.

“Alright then, let's get started.” He turns on the gun, the sound easing my anxious nerves as the first prick of the needle hits my skin.

The humming mixed with the vibrations lull me into a calm as I cast my gaze around the room. My sight catches on Wylla as she talks to the gorgeous female artist who’ll be doing her tattoo. She’s a beautiful, busty blonde covered in the most colorful art that seems to tell a story. Confusion hits me at the jealousy I feel when she playfully swats at Wylla’s arm as she hands her a folded up piece of paper. It’s the same one she hurriedly shoved in her back pocket back at the dorms when she denied my request to look at it.

She looks my way, and I duck my head, trying to avert my attention elsewhere, so it isn’t so obvious I was blatantly staring at her. My face grows hot when the girl gives Wylla a seductive smile just before she begins to bite on her lip, allowing her teeth to drag across it. I know for a fact if Wylla was doing that to me, my panties would be soaked. I wonder if Wylla’s are? Is she attracted to this girl? I shouldn’t be worrying about it or feeling so jealous. I’m apparently mated to multiple people according to Wylla, and even if I wasn’t, I’ve already been promised as a mate to members of my pack.

Wylla takes a seat and lies back on the bed, as the artist begins to ready her tray, moving her chair in my line of sight, blocking my view of Wylla. As time passes, they continue to talk in hushed tones that I can't hear. That’s fucking odd. Being a wolf, I should be able to hear everything they’re saying, which leads me to believe that Wylla cast some type of spell. Is she into this girl and doesn’t want me to hear? Is she
