Chapter 18
Marco probably thought she was a tease. She had woken up with her face pressed against his naked chest and all she had thought about at the time was how much she had wanted to trace his hard lines. They were so perfect; how could she not want to touch them? And then when he had slapped her ass to move her, she had been so shocked that she tried desperately to scramble off of him but just ended up straddling his hips and, oh my God, his erection. Just thinking back on it had her cheeks heating up.
It wasnât like she hadnât known it was there. Her leg had rubbed against it when she first woke up. But there was a huge difference between feeling it with her leg and feeling it between her legsâright at her core. A very teeny tiny part of her had wondered what it would be like to have sex with him, but that was heavily outshadowed by the fact that it had been over a year since she had sex and far too long since she had sex willingly. She never hated the act when she was younger, but almost all of her adult sex life was, in some way or another, tainted. First by drugs and then by rape. She wasnât sure she could enjoy it now and the last thing she wanted was a mini flashback in front of her sexy rescuer. Talk about a mood killer. He had said he was willing to wait, and she had to hope he meant that. And maybe that their first time was gentle. Not physically, but emotionally.
She was downstairs now, listening as Marco and his team, plus Daniel and Liam, discussed their plans. She had been formally introduced to Liam when she had come down after her shower. She knew he was the same age as both Daniel and Wes, which was a solid ten or so years older than the guys on Bravo Team. But just like with Wes, Liam was what she would consider an older man sexy. Not quite a silver fox like Wes, as sheâd yet to find a hint of gray on the man, but it was clear he had world experiences. It was his eyes. They spoke of tragedy, and a lot of it. She wondered what his story was and if she would ever get the chance to find out.
âHey.â She looked up as Blue sat down next to her, effectively pulling her from her thoughts. âI wanted to check and see how you were doing this morning.â
âYou mean after screaming down the place and likely waking up the entire neighborhood?â She laughed. It was either do that or cry and she doubted Blue would be okay with her crying all over the place.
âEh, donât sweat it.â Blue waved her off. âThe walls are reinforced, so I doubt the neighborhood heard you and the rest of us are light sleepers. Weâre trained to wake up at the slightest noise.
