DRYBRUSHING

This can be used to blend colors and hide any paper tooth that shows through without making the surface shiny. It's the perfect technique for creating even, smooth blends for subjects like the sky and skin tones.

You’ll need a cheap, relatively stiff hog-bristle brush. Just as with burnishers, make sure there are one to two (or more) smooth layers of wax without any detail on the paper. Then scrub the dry brush over the pencil, and blend the waxy pigment. The heat generated by the friction will liquefy the wax and move it around.
