Chapter Twenty-Two

“Ooh, Noah.” I clutch my hand to my chest, wondering when I will be able to see him without my heart stopping beating for a few moments. “I didn’t see you there, is everything okay?”

He hands me the piece of scrap paper that he took from my office earlier. “Do you need this?”

I laugh loudly and snatch it from him, ready to finally tell him why I was acting so strange when Julia was in my office earlier, and it wasn’t because of the kiss, even if that did have me shaking like jelly. “You do realize that this is blank, don’t you? Aside from some numbers that I was scribbling on it earlier. It isn’t something that has come out of the printer for sure.” I roll my eyes. “Lucky for you, Julia didn’t notice.”

“Oh yeah.” He watches me turn it over a couple of times. “I didn’t notice that all day long. You would have assumed I would look at some point, wouldn’t you? But apparently not. I guess I am an idiot. One who is completely and utterly distracted by you.” He steps closer to me, invading my personal space all over again. The heat from his body buzzes all over and causes me to reach out to grab him in an instant. “But how can I not be when you are so beautiful? So distracting?” He dips his face down to kiss mine. “So… amazing.”

When he kisses me again with more fierce intensity than before, I lose myself in him entirely. Before, it felt all wrong making out with him, I was acutely aware that anyone could walk in at any moment, which of course Julia did, but now that most people will have gone home it’s much more acceptable. I can simply switch off and enjoy myself as much as I want to. I don’t even really need to think about it.

Instead, I hook my hands in his hair and I kiss him back with just as much passion as he is giving me, my tongue all worked up around his, and I let him walk me backwards towards the desk, almost falling backwards hard, as my thighs connect with the wood. It seems like Noah isn’t expecting this either, because he crashes between my legs, his bulge connecting with my core in a very gorgeous way, turning me on even more.

“Oh God,” I whisper loudly, my head lolling to the side with pleasure. “Noah, you are so hot.”

His hands are all over my ass, as he slides me backwards on to the seat, his fingers eagerly exploring the underneath of my leggings and the outside of the lace panties I put on this morning just to make myself feel good, not because I knew that anything like this was going to happen. But now, I’m so glad because I can tell how much he loves them. The whimpering groans coming out of his mouth tell me all that I need to know.

I part my legs and invite him in deeper, which he doesn’t do with his bulge.
