Provost believes that the rumors of Steve killing Tina Faelz—and his ongoing behavior—had a major negative impact on the twins.

“After this whole thing happened, it did change them,” Provost said. “Amy had her issues. Richie had his issues…It was kinda like the innocence of everything just crumbled. I often wondered, ‘Did they know anything? Were they afraid to say anything? Were they afraid of him?’ As long as I can remember, every single person, the first name that came off their tongue was Steve Carlson.”

Steve and Richie Carlson fought like any set brothers, yet the words that accompanied those fights were different than the standard brotherly fight.
