“Nope, that’s a definite sign from a spirit,” Melanie said. “It could have been from someone who’s passed. I can find out if you’d like?” she offered.

“Maybe some other time,” Fiona said putting her hand on the woman's shoulder. “I think my sister’s having a hard time processing everything that happened tonight.”

Melanie nodded. “Of course. If you change your mind, just let me know,” she said as she nodded and moved on to visit with the other women.

“It’s time we headed for home,” Fiona said as she collected their coats.

They went outside, hurried to her SUV, and climbed in. As they sat there waiting for the car to warm up, Brigid looked over at Fiona, sensing something was going on with her.

“Oh dear,” Fiona mumbled.

“Oh, what?” Brigid asked leaning towards her.

“Melanie just described the storage room in my bookstore,” she said, her eyes wide.

“So?” Brigid asked.

Fiona’s eyes bored into her sister’s as she said, “Melanie hasn’t ever set foot in the storage room. As a matter-of-fact, I’m pretty sure she’s never even been in the bookstore.”

Brigid sat completely still. “Are you sure?”

“Positive. I don’t let anyone in the storage room except family and those who work there. It’s kind of a thing with me. There’s no way she could have described it unless her dream was a premonition,” Fiona said as she shivered. “Guess I better keep the back door shut while I’m alone.”

“Guess so,” Brigid said feeling another chill run through her body.
