Chapter Nine
Midnight
The ride to work seems longer than usual. My headâs swimming with thoughts on the shoot and the choices I need to make. Iâm about as straight as they come, but even Iâve turned down hard cash from couples looking to add some fun to their weekend. Shit, I donât even know if I can get hard standing next to another guy. After Lenny paid me, he told me what gets the most cash from his clients . . . and hard cocks obviously pay.
Who knows, maybe Lenny will get back to me with better numbers to do the shoot with a woman, and I can at least feel a little better at the end of the day. I have no idea where these pictures will end up. Itâs nothing like when I did the endorsement for the protein powder on Instagram, and I still get ribbed about it to this day.
Dusk falls over the city as my ride gets to the club. I can feel the bass out on the street, and I know itâs already getting pretty wild in there tonight. These women get thirsty, and I get to be their cool drink of chocolate milk in the summer and their hot cocoa on those chilly Florida nights. Itâs a good life I have overall, I only need to get through this hump, and Iâll be square.
I head in and chat with Danny D, our doorman and part-time bouncer. âLooks like we got some wild ones tonight, hey D?â I ask.
âBro, no shit, these bitches be trippinâ tonight. Theyâre screaming so loud, I thought Max was going to shit himself in the office, but Chuck is making a killing. Go get you some.â He smiles.
I eye up the room, all focus is on the stage and on the guys making the rounds throughout the room âtil my eye catches a stocky guy in a black suit seated in the far corner. I nudge D. âWhoâs the suit? New security or is Max finally getting audited?â I ask.
âCash customer,â D replies. âJust a lurker, most likely some married stiff whoâs in the closet.â
I snake my way through the gawking cougars, slowly make my way to the backstage area, and head to my locker. I begin getting ready for what seems like a decent night, start applying glitter body gel as Chuck comes in from the stage, sweating and trying to organize the handful of cash.
âLooks like a pretty good night,â I say.
Chuck laughs, âI swear it's a full moon tonight. Weâve been banging since we opened, and everyoneâs getting looser as the night goes on. I almost hate to leave, but Iâve got shit to do, and thereâs just not enough hours in the day. Have fun out there, and be careful. There's a couple of scratchers out in the crowd,â he chuckles as he goes back to changing.
Figuring heâs overreacting, I stand up and head behind the curtain, ready for the DJ to signal itâs time to bust out my routine.
