TODD MALONE

My stomach was a ball of nerves as I made my way to practice. So far I had not spoken to anyone on the team about what happened at the party except for Zavier—and that had been a short phone call. He let me know he had my back but that rumors were flying and people had opinions.

I had no idea what I was about to walk into or what I would do about it. There was no question about what I should do—but not knowing how that would impact my future hung over me like a dark storm cloud. The only thing that kept me even moderately tethered to the reality that I wanted to embrace was the thought of Adrian, who had faced coming out and who was facing his own fears by trusting me.

As if on cue he texted me.

Adrian: How are you feeling, MegaEvolvedJock?

Me: Stop it 😂!

Adrian: Seriously, though… How are you?

Me: Honestly, I’m terrified.

I watched the dots on the screen indicate he was typing flash for a minute, growing even more nervous.

Adrian: Whatever happens, we can figure it out…

Me: I want to be fair to you, and true to me.

Adrian: We can figure it out. Whatever happens today doesn’t have to be forever.

Me: Adrian … that’s not what I want. I don’t need you to try to talk me into the easy way.

Me: Keep my fear from doing that is hard enough.

Adrian: I just don’t want you to be too hard on yourself.

Me: I’m a jock. I’ve always been hard on myself LOL.

Adrian: Well, you can let me be the tough one if you want. I’m the top after all!

Me: Just because I let you have the top energy that one time…

Adrian: LOL let me?

Me: I mean, I did have to let it happen.

Adrian: So you wanna top from now on? Because I’m vers enough…

Me: Don’t go crazy!

Adrian: Banish the insanity. Say it! “Adrian, I’m your bottom bitch!”

Me: I am NOT saying that!

My phone rang.

“I am not saying that!” I said, laughing.

“Oh yes you are,” he said smugly.

“Oh I am? And why is that?” I asked.

“So you aren’t a bottom?” he asked. “Vers? Vers top? Top curious?”

“Okay, okay,” I said, laughing. “Whatever? I’m a bottom who can sometimes be convinced to flip…”

“What if I said the only thing between my dick and your hole was the sentence, ‘Adrian, I am your bottom bitch’?” he asked in a sultry voice, full of heated promise.

“Tonight?” I asked.

“As soon as my tongue gets tired of rimming your hole,” he said, almost growling with desire.

“Fuck me,” I murmured. “Adrian, I am your bottom bitch…”

“Yes you are, baby,” he said softly. “And when you say it again tonight, you’re really going to be meaning every word of it.”

“Why do you do these things to me?” I asked. “I’m hard as a fucking rock in these basketball shorts! People won’t even have to look to—“

“Yo, Todd!” Zavier called as he approached from where he had been waiting for me. “It’s basketball practice, not baseball!”

“What?” I asked.
