How to practice for the IELTS Speaking Test

We can't always count on a professor or a study partner, but that shouldn't impede your successful studies.

Remember this recipe for success for the solitary student:

● 1 voice recorder (from your cell phone is fine)

● Many practice test prompts from the Speaking section

● Study for the Listening section

When you study for the Listening section, you should study a wide range of things so that you can get accustomed to listening and understanding English well. This, in turn, will improve your Speaking skills, for you will learn to repeat or imitate what you listen to.

Now, go find some practice Speaking prompts and record everything you say. Then, listen to them and assess yourself, following the 4 assessment criteria.
