The young woman used the pesticide E605 to take her own life. This poison had become notorious a few years earlier as a 'dead certain' suicide method after massive press coverage of the trial of a woman in West Germany who had used it to commit multiple murder.
On 17 March H, a policeman, went for a doctor's appointment. His problem: erectile dysfunction. Two days previously, his wife had announced that she was seeking a divorce. Nevertheless, she accompanied her husband to the doctor. During the consultation, H told the doctor that he had been fantasising during the journey about 'crashing into a tree at top speed and killing myself and my wife'. But he hadn't done it, he said, because it wouldn't solve anything.
