What the oil and gas industry would do to get at all remaining fossil fuels was always unbelievable when expressed as an idea. Blowing the tops off mountains. Boiling bitumen in great gooey toxic pits. Liquefying the bedrock below us. But sooner or later, you had to believe that they intended to do everything possible.

Then, you had to trust that you could stop it.
