“How was your little date and shit?”

AJ frowned. More and more he was beginning to hate the sight of his sister. Her life was consumed with hate and yeah, he loved some get back but damn. All she thought of was revenge.

He looked over at his mom sitting on his sofa while drinking coffee and he cleared his throat.

“Ma, don’t you think it’s time to dead this shit with them? All Maia does is talk about these muthafucka’s.”

Maia jumped up from her seat with her fork in her hand and AJ smiled.

“Aye, I’m not them bitches you bully on. You better sit your ass down for I knock you the fuck out. You need to go back to school and get your life together,” he told her.

Maia looked at him with wild eyes.

“Wow, you falling for the bitch huh. So, you gone say fuck us too how daddy did? You’re such a clown Aamil Jr.!”

“Enough!” their mom said looking up from the TV.

Since she’d been home all she did was watch court shows. She didn’t leave the house or even go check up on his siblings. AJ was convinced that she was dealing with some form of depression.

“I am going to see your dad today. I found out where his new barbershop is, and I called looking for him. I said who I was, and he told me to meet him there. We will know all we need to know today. But Maia I agree with AJ. You do need to do something with yourself baby however daddy might come home,” she smiled.

AJ smirked while rolling a blunt. He was certain that his pops had no intentions of going back to his mom. If he would have done so it would have happened a long time ago.

“Keep dreaming,” he mumbled not wanting to have hope in that nigga.

For AJ he was good if he never saw his pops face again. He hated him with everything in his being.

“Keep talking shit!” Maia yelled with rage.

AJ chuckled not moved by his sister’s aggression.

“Look this my spot so you will respect me. Fuck Aamil! I been your damn daddy! I was the nigga that stole and did whatever the fuck I had to do to make sure you was good! Me!” he beat his chest. “So, you going to watch how the fuck you talk to me, or you can step!”

Mina his mom shook her head. Maia moved quickly around the apartment while talking to herself.

“Nigga, fuck you. I knew that you dating that lil bitch would have you walking tall all of a sudden. But it’s cool, I got you. And if I see that hoe on the street. I’ma slice her ass up. See if you wanna love on that hoe then!”

AJ jumped up knocking his weed to the floor. He rushed his baby sister and placed her in a headlock. Maia was crazy enough to slice up Ameelah and he couldn’t have that. Not when he was falling for her.

He didn’t love no bitch, but Ameelah was like home to him.
