Chapter 18 â The Greeks Have Arrived!
Rusa looked at the city and realized he could get away without attracting elites. The city was designed to be a military settlement protecting the cities on the small Greek islands. For the most part, the city-building portion of the mission was done. All he needed to do was finish the shrine and defeat the Kraken.
Before the month was over, Rusa received a message.
Worker Wage Rate Increases
Workers are happy to hear that they will get another wage increase. Each worker will now make 4 drachmae a month.
Rusa would have to pay more in wages. He was confident that he could still get through the mission without building elite houses.

Rusa saw that his land army was filled with the maximum number of soldiers. He wasnât sure how large the Greek army would be or what it would contain. So he decided to invest in more forts.
You have constructed an archery fort and an infantry fort. Cost 600 Drachma.
Drachma â 4762
The additional forts would provide more soldiers. He already had the maximum number of warship wharves in the city. Many of his boats were still in Thera, trying to relive them. As he looked around the settlement, he received a message.
Victory at Thera!
The fleet you sent to Thera was victorious. Everyone in Thera is grateful for your support. As a result, your kingdom favor has increased. Also, Thera has sent you 300 marble to help you complete the shrine to the Hydra.
+5 Kingdom Favor
Kingdom Favor â 51
Rusaâs kingdom favor was above fifty. He still needed plenty of favor to hit the goal of fifty. With the city stabilized, it was only a matter of time before he hit his goal.
What caught his attention was the gift of marble he received from Thera. The marble was enough to complete the shrine. He watched as the workers got the last bit of stone and marble needed to finish the shrine. The stonemasons finished building the wall around the shrine. Meanwhile, the sculptors finished carving the statue of the Hydra.
The Shrine to the Hydra has been completed! All you need to do is deliver what the beast desires. Once that is done it will be summoned, ready to take on the Kraken.
The statue looked intimidating. Everyone saw the multi-headed beast that sent scares to mariners. Only this time, the Hydra would be fighting on their side. The Kraken was a legend. People told legends of a great beast that was a giant octopus. Some claim it was a giant crab. The Kraken was a monster that would grab boats and crush them along with the crew inside.
However, the Kraken was only that, a legend. While the mortals had no idea if it was real, Rusa knew the truth. Zeus and Poseidon had summoned the beast, attempting to stop Rusaâs expansion.
