An overwhelming sense of contentment flowed through Julian like a healing balm. Funny how the buzz of his sexually sated body pulsed radiantly through his veins. Had he ever noticed how reinvigorated he felt after such a basic release? Probably not.

Julian lifted his chin. His direct stare focused on the silk tie in the mirror as he executed an expert Windsor knot at his neck, lost in thought over the way Beckett had given him courage in his moment of self-doubt. He wrapped a hand around Julian’s, anchoring Julian in the moment, allowing him to guide their climax.

How had something so simple been so fucking hot?

That was another new side he’d discovered. When sex was his job, he rarely delighted in the pleasure. Instead, he’d reveled in a job well done. Satisfied customers always came back for more, and Julian had made the big bucks.

What did it say about him that Beckett’s goodness brought out his raunchy side? Julian gave a silent chuckle. His Marlboro Man had no idea what he was getting into. Maybe he was Beckett’s exact opposite. Julian was the darkness in direct contrast to Beckett’s lightness.

His grin tipped the corners of his lips as he gave an amused chuckle. Fuck, it felt good to be getting back to his old self. Julian critically assessed his clothing, twisting to check all sides. He had always liked to look his best. Most of the measly income he made went to his appearance. Tonight, Julian wanted to walk out of this bedroom and be as mouthwateringly gorgeous as he could for the man waiting for him in the living room. He liked Beckett’s tongue wagging after him.

Beckett had made several comments about Julian’s eyes.
