In early 2013, he lent investors $1 million to purchase a large commercial building on Maurice-Duplessis Boulevard in Rivière-des-Prairies. The building was once home to the headquarters of Carboneutre, a decontamination firm linked to the kingpin Raynald Desjardins and Mafioso Domenico Arcuri before they stepped back from the company.

The Charbonneau Commission examined Carboneutre’s fruitless attempts to obtain Fonds de Solidarité FTQ funding, in collusion with trade unionist Jocelyn Dupuis, at length this fall.

In 2012, following the Carboneutre venture, the building on Maurice-Duplessis Boulevard was the target of Molotov cocktail attacks, as were other properties linked to Domenico Arcuri.

After a series of complex financial transactions following Roger Valiquette’s loan, the building passed into the hands of mobster Tonino Callocchia’s wife on October 28 of this year.

Roger Valiquette still has a stake in the building. Valiquette and Callocchia are former partners. Callocchia himself was the target of attempted murder in Laval last February. . . .
