The session finally ended and we stood and joined hands for a closing prayer. As the pastor prayed he suddenly looked up at my husband and asked him why he had lied. He then went on to share what God had revealed to him. I never had to say a word.

Everything my husband had done to me was revealed to this pastor by the Holy Spirit. He couldn’t accuse me of telling this pastor anything in advance.

I began to praise the Lord. This was the reason I had desired counseling with someone who was Spirit-filled and Spirit-led. I thought about Ananias and Sapphira in the book of Acts chapter 5. They lied to Peter, but the Holy Spirit revealed the lies immediately. God had fought the battle for me. The Lord had been my defender and advocate.
