Chapter Seventeen

If anyone asked—and no one would—Robbie would tell the truth. Her brain had stopped working when Devyn returned her kiss. All thoughts short-circuited.

“Schedule change,” she said, pulling Devyn toward her. “I’m on break now.”

“You won’t get in trouble?” Devyn asked.

“No one will know.” She didn’t hold back her moan when Devyn pressed against her. “And I can’t wait for you.” She took another step toward the bed but felt Devyn hesitate. “What is it?”

“All the windows are open.”

“Angel’s on patrol,” Robbie said. “We’ll be fine. But I can close the blinds if you want.”

Devyn glanced at the windows, sunlight streaming in, and bit her lip, clearly thinking. “I want to try new things. Maybe this is one of them.”

Robbie chuckled. “Sex with the windows open is new for you?”

“I usually like it to be dark. But I have a feeling you could make me like a lot of new things.” Devyn dropped onto the bed. She pulled off her shirt and looked up at Robbie. “You might not want to pass up this opportunity.” She licked her lips, her expression knowing. She was clearly aware of the effect she had on Robbie. “I don’t often go around stripping off clothes.” She unhooked her bra. “Or throwing myself in other people’s beds hoping I can distract them from their work.”

When she dropped the bra on the floor and shifted back on the pillows, her breasts were on full display. The dark pink nipples drew Robbie forward. “You are my new favorite distraction.”

“You’ve been mine since you showed up here,” Devyn returned.

“I don’t think I was your favorite in the beginning,” Robbie said, taking off her shirt and sports bra. She enjoyed the way Devyn watched her undress and decided to lose her shorts as well. When she straightened up, Devyn was full-on sizing her up. “Like what you see?”

Devyn seemed to hesitate. “I do.”

“Not used to admitting these things?” Robbie held Devyn’s gaze as she came to the side of the bed. “What do you want?”

“You.” Devyn pulled her into a kiss.

Devyn’s lips, and the slip of her tongue, rocketed up her arousal. She moved onto the bed and pushed Devyn’s legs apart, shifting into the space she’d made.

“You’re on top again.” Devyn stroked Robbie’s arms. “I think you like that position.”

“Maybe. But you can still call the shots.”

“Is it still okay for me to touch you anywhere?” Devyn asked.

“I’m yours to play with.”

Devyn’s lips parted, her desire obvious.

“You like the sound of that, don’t you?” She smiled, knowing she was right. “What else do you like?”

“Your butt.”

Robbie started to laugh but stopped short when Devyn cupped her butt cheeks. A thrill raced through her as Devyn said, “Anywhere I like?”

“Anywhere.” Robbie pressed a kiss to Devyn’s lips as her hands roamed down the back of her thighs.

While Devyn explored her body, Robbie drew a curve under each of Devyn’s breasts. Under her touch, each nipple hardened. When she pinched, Devyn pulled away as if caught off guard but pushed back into Robbie’s hands a moment later.
