I lay wide awake, staring at the rotations of my ceiling fan with a raging hard-on. Never had a woman affected me the way Gia had. The way she looked at me tonight made me wonder if Ian was right.

Shit. I couldn’t be falling for her, could I? Did she feel the same? When she moaned during her massage, it made me wonder about the sounds she’d make while having sex. The thought of her having a lackluster experience with her one and only lover still sat in the back of my mind, and I knew damn well that I could bring her immense pleasure.

I looked at my closed door. I could easily get up and go to her. But what would she do if I did that? Would Gia welcome me into her bed or think I’d lost my mind? Her rejection would make our relationship uncomfortable, and that was the last thing I wanted.

Rather than act on that impulse, I decided on another tack. I pulled the charging cable out of my phone and watched it come to life. Scrolling through my contacts, I landed on Gia’s name and pressed the message icon.
