Chapter Seven
So far, the celebration had been fantastic. Josh took a sip of the Kiss of Leather coffee drink that Elliot had made especially for him. He had to admit, it was quite good. Theyâd only had the doors open for about an hour, but the place had filled up nicely. Men in elaborate leather and chain outfits milled about or sat with their boys kneeling at their feet. The tapas were going over well, in addition to Elliotâs other drinks. The house subs either served the guests refreshments or took the members on a tour of the facilities. They wouldnât be available for play until after Gavin and Kyleâs ceremony, and the demonstration had concluded.
Josh swallowed another mouthful of the sweet and spicy liquid as he glanced around from where he leaned against one end of the bar. Heâd admired one muscular manâs codpiece made of small loops of chain mail. Has to be lined. Wouldnât it pinch otherwise? Both Derek and Gavin had outdone themselves in attire that incorporated heavier chains, buckles and straps, although Gavinâs ensemble was more formal, the leather jacket in a classic long tuxedo style. Derek was inclined toward a more menacing look that included a shiny biker cap with a brim chain.
Derek had been uncertain up until the very last moment whether heâd be attending or not. Since everyone would be at the club for the celebration, there wasnât anyone available to stay with Corey if he was still too uncomfortable to attend. Even though Corey had insisted to Derek he didnât want him to miss out on the big nightâthe culmination of all of Derekâs hard workâDerek had been adamant about not taking Corey unless he was sure that his boy would be able to handle it.
Josh smiled to himself, remembering when Derek had shared the solution theyâd come up with. As he observed the two men together, he thought it was brilliant. After Stone saw Derek and Corey arrive, Stone confided to Josh that he was considering it for him and Marshall, but for entirely different reasons. He hoped that chaining Marshall to him would circumvent pantsless surprises in the future.
Derek wore a thick belt around his waist with a heavy gauge metal ring on his left side. A smaller version of the same belt was on Coreyâs right side. Hooking the men together by the rings was an approximately three foot long chain. It afforded them the ability to move somewhat freely, but with the comfort of knowing that they couldnât be separated. The fact that it was having the desired effect was apparent in how happy and relaxed Corey appeared as he chatted with David.
Josh caught Davidâs eye, then waved him over. It was almost ten oâclock and time for Gavin and Kyleâs ceremony. Kyle sat on Gavinâs lap near the edge of the demo area. He had his arms wrapped around Gavinâs neck and his head resting on Gavinâs shoulder. The way Gavin cradled him made something in Joshâs stomach tighten, but in a good way.
