Even though their number of skydiving reservations were down, the week passed by with a lot of work… and zero dick.

Probably for the best. Nothing good could come from fucking your boss.

Fucking your boss? What about fucking your donor’s partner? What about that mindfuck? Especially when he has no clue who the hell you really are to him.

And Dan.

The Big Ass Fan turned above them in the hangar. The hangar bay doors stood wide open, and the Friday evening sun started to set over the valley. From his vantage point on the short scaffold Joss had set up next to his Cessna, the buildings in the valley caught fire in the sun, the glass from the buildings sparking and sparkling as a ribbon of cars headed down the I-5 down below.

“Hand me that pin wrench, will you?” Joss lay on the scaffolding beside Milo, dirt and grime and a light sheen of sweat marring his bare chest as he worked to loosen a collar.

Milo’s father hadn’t been the fixer type. To him, there were two kinds of men in the world. Those who could fix things and those who made enough money to pay others to fix things for them.

But Joss landed in the middle. He had a successful skydiving operation, and he seemed to have the ability to fix whatever was broken. Milo glanced at the tools lined up on the magnetic tray and plucked the pin wrench up and slapped it into Joss’s hand like a well-trained surgical tech.

They worked that way for more than an hour. Joss cussing and removing stubborn parts while Milo handed him whatever tool he called for.

Milo didn’t know how he knew what tools were what. He chalked it up to Dan’s influence. One might think that would be creepy as hell, but Milo found comforting.

What would Joss say if he knew his partner’s heart beat a couple of feet away?

Milo shook the thought away. The longer he knew Joss, the more he learned about Dan, the less Milo thought telling Joss would help either of them. For now, Milo kept that potentially explosive tidbit to himself.

Technically, it was past quitting time, but when you lived where you worked, that fine line blurred.

But it wasn’t like Milo had anywhere he needed to be. Foster had complained about not seeing him in forever yet wasn’t willing to drive out to the hangar to see him, not when all the fun things happened in the valley.

Milo couldn’t blame him and didn’t hold it against him. Besides, staring at Joss’s broad chest wasn’t a chore.

Joss’s phone rang in his pocket. Both of his hands were occupied, so it kept ringing.

“Get that would you? That’s Derek’s ring tone.”

Milo dug into Joss’s front pocket, trying to ignore Joss’s muffled ooof when his finger accidentally brushed against Joss’s dick.

“Put him on speaker. If I let go now, there’s a spring I might lose and never find again.”

Milo answered the call and held it close to Joss.

“Derek, you’re on speaker,” Joss said with a grunt as he continued working on whatever it was he was working on.
