Do It Again

That had to be the most physically exhausted Mick had ever felt in his life.

Not just after sex, but in general.

His heart was pounding, his hands were sweating, and his body was so relaxed he was afraid he couldn’t move.

He worked up the energy so he wasn’t squishing her and rolled, then flopped.

His eyes were closed as he breathed in and out a few times. Then he felt the bed move and Lindsey climb on top of him.

“I want to do it again.”

He burst out laughing. “I need a few minutes. Maybe a few hours. No, a few days. Holy shit.”

“Is that good or bad?” she asked. “Is it normal to feel that way?’

“No,” he said. “I’ve never felt so depleted of energy before.”

“Oh,” she said, going back on her side.

He reached for her and pulled her back across his chest. “That’s a good thing. You pulled everything out of me. I didn’t think I had it in me to feel this.”

“It did feel good, didn’t it?”

He opened one eye. He realized they were still closed. “Only good?”

“Well, I’ve got nothing to compare it to. That’s why we’ve got to do it again. I need to make notes and compare.”

He leaned up and kissed her. “I think you might have had enough for the night. You’re going to be sore, believe me.”

“I don’t feel it right now.”

“You will when the endorphins wear off.”

He moved to the edge of the bed and sat up. He looked down and had a moment of panic at the spots of blood on the condom but should have realized that.

“I think we might need to change your sheets.”

“Don’t worry about it,” he said. “Let’s go get cleaned up. Actually why don’t you take a hot bath. That will help.”

“Is this advice from a doctor or from a man who has slept with a lot of virgins?”

“Do you really want to go there?”

“No,” she said. “Sorry I asked that. I didn’t mean to and don’t know what came over me.”

“You’re feeling vulnerable. It’s natural.”

“Yeah. I guess I am.”

“Just stay here and I’ll run the bath.”

He got up and walked into the bathroom, took care of the condom and then turned the water on in the tub. When he came back out, Lindsey had his shirt on and the bed stripped.

“I’ll take care of it,” he said. “I told you to relax.”

“I didn’t want to look at it.”

“Why?” she asked. “You’ve been waiting for this you said.”

“I have been. Part of me is thrilled it’s behind me.”

“Not sure how to take that.”

She went into his arms and gave him a hug. “Don’t hold my words against me. I didn’t mean anything by it. It’s like now that you popped my cherry.”

He started to laugh. He couldn’t help it. “I don’t think anyone says it like that anymore.”

“No clue. I don’t talk about sex much. I’m saying it’s not like now that that is behind me I’m going to go find other men and not worry this had been hanging over my head.
