4.49 High-impact color. The large-scale wall graphics are colored with bright Chartpak AD markers and Prismacolor pencils. The 6 × 14” image was drawn on trace with a permanent ink pen and colored directly on the original artwork.

4.50 First drawing: aquarium lobby. Sometimes a drawing just does not capture the design concept. This lobby drawing was rejected for not showing enough of the outdoor plaza in front of the building. A new drawing was necessary—one that would raise the viewing height of the image from eye level to bridge level so more of the floor and plaza area could be seen.
