At longlast to speak, all Ayodhya gather round,

Advice dey did advise dem so:

‘Long as we statue, dis cathedral she reside,

Here lavish-wealth is vast-squander,

Never to remain here she destiny content,

Never stand she here proud, quiet-restful.

As dis we can tell you, we story now to prove,

Sita is ever guardian of de poor.

Live she as always simple poverty embracing,

As always, brightriches she abjure.

But give she a sanctuary, modest in design, small in its size and distinction.

Dere side de swamp, ever peaceful she vigil,

Dere will she remain quiet restful!’

And now begin Kusha, together with Lakshaman,

Dis tale of a birth, from a canefield fresh-furrow!
