Spiritual Gifts
Many of you never give a second thought to your unique talents and gifts. You use them every day, and they have become a secondary part of you. Some of you will become your gift and others of you will have more than one gift that becomes an outward expression of who you are, but everyone has the gifts of spirit to some degree. Being an artist, a singer, a musician, a healer, a counselor, animal whisperer are all gifts of spirit. Often, I would ask my spirit friends why I was never gifted with singing? As a child, I dreamed of standing on stage and singing. The answer was always the same; if you want to sing, you need to practice and develop that gift. The more I sang, the better I got. I even had solos in school concerts. But it never was a day in and day out driving force in my life like the mediumship.
I can only imagine how many hours Leonardo da Vinci practiced his craft. He lived it and breathed it every day of his life. It was probably his every waking thought until it became natural to him. It became part of him. Beethoven became an accomplished composer and pianist. He practiced and developed until he honed his craft. A young man who is autistic became the winner of Americaâs Got Talent. That young man, Kodi Lee, not only is autistic but blind as well. Kodi is a great validation of how each person does have spiritual gifts. I would also bet he practiced and practiced and practiced.
You may not be a Leonardo da Vinci, Beethoven or Kodi Lee, but you can learn to develop if you are willing to put in the time and effort. It is up to you to what extent you develop your spiritual gifts based on how much time and effort you are willing to devote to learn it. For me, it has become my desire and hope to be the best I can be in order to serve spirit and to serve mankind. Therefore, I myself, devote endless hours to developing this gift and ability. It is something I enjoy and does not even seem like work to me.
