Chapter Ten

After playing in the snow for a while, we all start to feel the drop in temperature and hurry back inside. It’s not until we are all clustered in my tent that I realise I can’t feel my fingers or toes. The change might protect me, but I spent a long time out there as just me, so I guess my normal body doesn’t react to the cold like my changed one.

We are all shivering and trying to fumble out of our wet cold clothes, but even with red cheeks and our breath puffing from our mouths, we can’t hide the massive smiles and happiness running through our bodies. Alcide’s face contorts when a stagehand knocks on the tent door, the only people who do, and slips inside.

“Sorry, Alcide, but we have an issue,” the hand says, as he twists his hands nervously in front of him.

Alcide’s face drops before wiping clean and going back into ringmaster mode.

“Of course. I will meet you at the big top,” he orders, and even his back straightens. The man nods and scurries out of the tent. Alcide turns to us and throws me a regretful look before running his eyes to Nixon.

“I have a feeling it might be because of the snow, I might need your help to clear.” Nixon nods and throws me a small smile before slipping out of the tent. Alcide goes to leave, before stopping with the tent flap half open. I hear him mutter something to himself before he spins and strides back to me. I stand, helpless, and caught in his determined gaze, as he comes towards me. He doesn’t stop but grabs my still wet hair and tugs me to him. I have to catch myself on his chest with a gasp. He swoops down and seals our lips together in a soul-churning kiss. It’s dominant and rough, just like the man himself, but it has my thighs clenching and my pussy throbbing. It’s also filled with regret and guilt. He bites my bottom lip before pulling away with a fire burning in his eyes. Without another word, he steps away and exits the tent, leaving me watching after him with desire burning through me and a bewildered look on my face.

A throat clears, and I have to blink to pull myself out of my daze. Cheeks heating, I turn to a smirking Blain, a blushing Rex, and a smiling Jesse.

“Looks like they left us all alone. I wonder what trouble we could get up to?” Jesse says with a wink, obviously joking, but the idea of us four getting up to trouble, coupled with Alcide’s kiss, has dirty thoughts running through my head. I have to bite my lip to stop from saying anything, but Blain zeros in on it and a knowing look comes into his eyes. Asshole is going to say something, I just know it.

“Looks like Harpy has something already in mind. Maybe something to do with why her lip is getting tugged on and her nipples are so hard.
