So, he could be human after all, was the consensus of opinion by Hamish Ross’s men, as he joined them in the pub at the end of the shift. The squad had never seen him in such good humour; maybe they had misjudged him? He was certainly a dedicated cop. Once he got the bit between his teeth he wouldn’t let go until he had solved the case. He was certainly pleased with the outcome tonight, and despite his misgivings, it was the right thing to join his men for a celebratory drink.
