6 In the outer ring, draw 32 circles with swirls in the center. Draw triangles above each swirled circle and fill them in using the black .5mm pen. Erase all pencil lines.

See Where It Leads

If you have a pattern in mind that you want to use in your mandala but it is not working, instead of forcing the pattern, try something else, or let the pattern take you where it wants to go.

Project: Ferris Wheel

This Ferris Wheel mandala is a little more complex, and I think it will challenge you out of your comfort zone, which is a good thing. Before I drew this mandala, I knew I wanted to use the Tangle pattern Fengle. I was not sure how it would turn out, but when I finished, I quite liked the way it looked.

The tangle pattern was drawn twice, one behind the other. The circles drawn here and there remind me of the cogs that hold a Ferris wheel together. The spokes in the middle resemble the spokes on a Ferris wheel. The ends on the outside of the Fengle pattern look like they could hold passenger cars for riders.
