A person should always consider the value of non sequiturs. A non sequitur is something that does not follow from what went before (I think it is Latin, or one of those dead things). I can actually worry myself into being unable to sleep or into feeling miserable about myself or the world over issues such as the world hunger problem, or how to construct an argument you can make to politicians to be able to avoid and refuse all wars forever, or people’s inhumanity to each other or how was the Holocaust possible. And what appears to me now to be the apparent answer to all those questions and issues is to have a family, maybe a pet, take a vacation in the summer, read a good book, and spend time with people you like. That is everyone’s response, and I’m not even saying it is wrong or people should be ashamed or refute it; I am just now discovering that it works.
