Chapter 4 Lost & Turn Out
The phone rang at the salon.
“Hair Boutique, Bray, speaking how can I help you?” Bray answered the phone in his high-pitched voice
“Get your ass over now!”
Bray’s whole facial expression gave off a shocked look at the phone receiver trying to get a handle on who was on the other the other side of the phone. “Huh, what? Wait…who the heck is this?” Bray couldn’t recognize Shonda’s voice because she had been crying and drinking.
“Who the hell you think it is? It’s me, fool, Shonda! I need you! What are you doing?”
“Ok, bitch, what do you think I’m doing? Hair, why? What’s the problem now? Or should I say what did my brother do now?”
Shonda began to scream from the top of her lungs. “Damn it! Bray would you just shut up and listen for once?” Shonda was still trying to boss Bray around as usual.
“No, Shonda, I need you to calm the hell down. Shonda what is your problem lately? You’ve been angry; you cursed your mom…like really, this shit has to stop!”
“Ok, Bray, you’re right. We will talk when you get here. How many clients do you have left?” Shonda really didn’t care how clients he had left. She wanted him by her side and now.
“I have one left. I will be there as soon as I can, okay pretty girl. Just keep the wine on chill, Bray’s coming to save the day.”
“Ok!” said Shonda clearing up her voice trying to get herself together. “And Bray?”
“What is it Shon?’
Shonda paused for a minute. She began tearing up, as always did when she confided in Bray, for emotional support.
“I Love you.”
Right then and there Bray knew his relationship with Shonda could never be repaired.
“Aw, sista girl, I love you too, see you soon.” Bray stood there still holding the phone in his hands with a smile on his face thinking how the time was coming to an end for Shonda and Mitch’s marriage.
Also, the smile was for every time Shonda and Mitch had issues Bray got to stay the night at Shonda’s house, so he could comfort Shonda in her time of need. As well as sneak down in Mitch’s office in the basement to suck his dick while Shonda was sound asleep upstairs.
Bray broke his neck getting to Shonda’s but first he ran home to get his overnight bag. While he was at it, he packed some lingerie for when he had that moment with Mitch. Bray pulled up to Shonda’s with excitement to see Mitch, when he noticed that Mitch’s truck wasn’t in the driveway. Bray parked his car and sat there for a while before calling Shonda to tell her to open the door for him. In the meantime, Bray sent Mitch a sexy text message just letting him know what to expect when he got home. Bray sat there in the car a few minutes more wishing Mitch would hurry up and respond to his text.
However, twenty-five minutes had already passed and Bray began to get upset with the fact that Mitch was ignoring his text.
