Chapter Ten
We made it to Helmâs Harbor just after the White Sun was starting to rise. It was dark and that meant it would be harder for us to be recognized. The Queen of Shuang has put a price on my capture. No doubt about the Treaty being violated with my parentâs murder and my disappearance. I thought Alma would have sent word out to try and keep the peace, but something unsettling came into mind.
The Harbor smelled of sea and fish. Salty. The air was cooler here and I welcomed it. At night, there was not much to look at. There were so few torches lit, that I could barely make out the rooftops of buildings. Cal, on the other hand, could see in the dark. Bastard.
âThe Inn is over here.â He gestured and I followed. We left the horses strapped to a post, with some other livestock. There was hay and water. Making it clear that this was for patrons only planning to stay a short while.
As we entered, the lobby was in a fit of music and games. There were wooden tables filled with drinks, food, cards, and patrons. All either talking, eating, gambling, or drinking. The bar wench noticed us and waved us over. Cal had hidden his wings before we left the forest. Appearing just like any other mortal.
âWhat can I get you?â she asked, and her eyes cut right to Cal. Soaking in his body from head to toe. Leaning over, as to push her cleavage out, I became searing mad. Cal gripped my wrist tightly before I raised my dagger to the womanâs throat.
Easy Princess. He said down the bond.
âYou can have me if you want. What will your sister be having?â she didnât even acknowledge me. Let me handle this. I said with a hint of anger.
As you wish Princess. But play nice, I would like to sleep in a bed tonight. I felt a soft caress with those words. With that as Cal sat down, I jumped up straddling him, taking in his surprise as I shoved my tongue down his throat. Grabbing one of his hands I placed it on my breast and squeezed and the other on my rear. Breaking away, I saw that lust in those emerald eyes and felt his cock hardening under me. Still, on top of him, I looked to the Bar Wench.
âWe would like one room, two drinks, and two plates of your best food.â I cheekily said as I gleamed in the shock on her face. She was just as bewildered as Cal was. âI can pay of course.â
I reached down gripping Calâs ever hardening cock and spoke.
âOops, thatâs not the coin purse.â I let out a fake giggle, feeling slightly foolish, but it was better than cutting those eyes out of her head. Gods I never wanted to hurt someone so bad. I was very possessive of him, and I wanted everyone to know. Placing a few pieces of coin on the bar, she cleared her throat, saying.
