Chapter 9
Sidney
âSooo are you going to tell me where weâre going now?â I gave him my best arenât I cute smile and kept pushing. âItâs later, and you said youâd tell me later.â
Daddy chuckled, but his focus on the road never wavered. âNope.â
As I sighed and slouched back in my seat, he grinned. âBut you can tell me how your day went and even what you did last night.â
Heâd spent so much time at my house lately that having him gone even for a night felt weird.
So I decided to just fuck it and tell him that.
At the very least, I was pretty sure heâd think I was cute and not too clingy. âIt was weird. You werenât there. I had to make dinner myself and even keep myself occupied. That was really hard.â
He barked out a laugh. âSo Daddies are mostly for making dinner and keeping little boys busy?â
Nodding, I grinned as he laughed again. âYep, but I had one of the pizzas we made the other day and I didnât even burn it.â
It hadnât been cold in the middle either.
By the time they were gone, I was going to actually know how to reheat them.
And that brought up another thought.
âCan we make more this weekend or at least before you go back to work?â Heâd taken two weeks off, but I had to plan for lean times when he wasnât going to be able to come feed me anytime I was bored and hungry.
I had the best Daddy ever. He even ordered me takeout when I was overworked and undertimed.
âOf course.â He reached out one hand and stroked it over my head before moving his hand back to the wheel. âAnd what if I make you something like soup or a casserole when I go back to work?â
âYouâd do that?â Thinking it and getting it were two different things. The more I thought about it, the more I started to worry that it was asking a bit much. âIsnât it too much to ask?â
It had to be.
I mean, Iâd never had a real Daddy before, but it sounded like too much to ask even if it was clear he wasnât temporarily in my life.
He grinned, shaking his head. âNo. This falls into the buying groceries category. I like making sure youâre fed and healthy. Thatâs part of who I am as a Dom, even without the Daddy part. I definitely fall in the caretaker category.â
Yeah, I could see that.
So I was just doing him a favor?
I liked looking at it like that.
âHow did you figure out you were a Dom?â Weâd talked about all kinds of things over the past week, but I couldnât remember asking about that yet.
I knew about all his crazy relatives, and why his mother wasnât talking to his aunt Grace.
I was definitely on his momâs side.
Aunt Grace was a busybody who needed to stop going through everyoneâs recipe books.
Everyone knew those were sacred.
Ross grinned, but he actually looked sheepish as he tried to play it off.
