The Suppression

And Ehud reached with his left hand, took the sword from his right thigh, and thrust it into [Eglon’s] belly; and the hilt also went in after the blade and the fat closed over the blade.1

In the moment that [Eglon] rose, Ehud took into his left hand the dagger hidden on his right thigh; he sunk it into the stomach of the tyrant with such force that the handle followed the blade and the fat curled up over the opening of the wound, and the entire dagger remained in his entrails.2
