Trojans and Greeks are fighting on the bare stage when the curtain rises: PRIAM vs. AGAMEMNON, AENEAS vs. ULYSSES, ACHILLES vs. HECTOR, MENELAUS vs. PARIS, and TROILUS vs. DIOMEDE. ZEUS enters and snaps his fingers. They stop suddenly and go like sleepwalkers to opposite sides of the stage and sit down. ZEUS is dressed in a black frock-coat and string tie.
