Neville turned toward Nancy with whom he had spent the best part of his life. He kissed her softly on the lips before pulling her close to him. As he hugged her tenderly, he once again wished for something else … wished he had a slightly different path to travel. Neville knew however that this road had been his choice … his journey had been of his own making.

He kissed Nancy on her forehead reassuringly. He knew in reality he would have chosen no other path. For him, his life consisted of routine, the everyday, a simple journey … memories of happy times, memories of family and friends laughing, memories of love, memories of being loved.

For Neville there was no other choice … it was simple. For him the reason for his journey was love.
