It was four forty-five. He scrawled the last line on his paper and did not proofread it. He was too tired. He lamented not having a typewriter. He drowsily mused that it would not do any good to have a typewriter since he did not know how to type. There was still psychology to do. He was sitting in the hard-backed chair, pen and paper in hand, and the Principles of Psychology textbook open to the section related to the homework assignment. An inquiring neighbor, peering in, would have marveled at the fortitude of the premed student perched there in such a diligent posture. But he was asleep.
