CHAPTER 17

Kenzie’s heart was racing, and she knew Lennox could feel it against her skin and would likely draw conclusions about what that rapid beat meant. She worried that Lennox would be concerned about having expressed those words, that sentiment to Kenzie and Kenzie knew she should say it back. She should tell Lennox how she felt about her; that in her twenty-six years on this planet, she’d never felt for anyone what she felt for Lennox Owen. She’d never had a connection to anyone like this and that all she wanted was to spend her life telling and showing what that meant to her. She couldn’t though. She couldn’t say it, and she wasn’t sure why, but she didn’t want to lose Lennox because she wasn’t yet ready. She didn’t have the words to describe it yet.

“Kenz, baby?” Lennox had waited patiently long enough, and Kenzie knew what would happen next. “Lie down.” She whispered against Kenzie’s chest and let go of her back.

“I don’t-”

“Lie down.” She said a little louder and gave a light push to Kenzie’s stomach. “I want to touch you. I’m going crazy not touching you.” She informed.

Kenzie hadn’t been expecting that. She’d thought Lennox wanted words from her, and if she didn’t deliver those words, Lennox would want to leave. Kelly had done that. She’d told Kenzie she’d loved her three times and Kenzie hadn’t been able to just say the words back. Now, as she lay back and gave into the intoxicating scent of Lennox’s arousal that she could lick off her own lips and the press of Lennox’s body to her own, she knew she’d never experienced love before this, and that had been why she’d never been able to express it back then.

“I might not be able to again.” She offered. “But that’s not you. I can usually only come once and then my body has to settle down. It’s a process. It happens so fast, and then I have to recover. It’s not you though, okay?”

“Baby, I just want to touch you, okay? You don’t have to feel pressured to do anything or make anything happen. If you can’t come, it’s okay. If you come right away, that’s fine, and if it takes a while, that’s okay too.” She leaned down and pressed her lips gently to Kenzie’s forehead. “I want to be inside you.” She rolled her hips into Kenzie’s and kissed her eyebrow. “And I want to move against you like this.” She repeated the movement. “And slide my fingers around to feel how wet you are.” She kissed Kenzie’s eyelid and then moved to the other to do the same. “I want to taste you.” She pressed her lips to Kenzie’s nose. “Now, tell me what you want.” She kissed Kenzie’s lips, and Kenzie wondered if she could taste herself on them.

“I don’t know.” She gasped out against Lennox’s lips.

Lennox rolled down into her, and she thought she might combust. Her fingers dug into Lennox’s back, and she worried she might be hurting her, but Lennox didn’t flinch or show any kind of discomfort.
